By accessing or using ShipCheck, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.

If you use ShipCheck on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

ShipCheck is a software-development tool that analyzes repositories, pull requests, code changes, tests, and related repository context to help developers identify potential problems before code is merged or shipped.

ShipCheck may identify or describe issues involving security, reliability, testing, behavior changes, regressions, code quality, safeguards, contracts, assumptions, and other software-development concerns.

The service may also provide generated explanations, suggested fixes, regression tests, scores, behavior history, Behavior Guards, Behavior Contracts, verification evidence, risk-aware verdicts, or other development assistance.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it.

You may only connect repositories, organizations, source code, or other information that you are authorized to access and provide to ShipCheck.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of ShipCheck complies with any employment, confidentiality, contractual, organizational, or other obligations that apply to the code you connect.

ShipCheck may retrieve repository content, pull requests, commits, branches, patches, tests, and related context when necessary to perform scans or actions that you request.

Removing repository access or uninstalling the ShipCheck GitHub App may prevent future access through that installation.

ShipCheck may use deterministic checks, automated analysis, and AI-assisted systems to evaluate software.

Findings, scores, verdicts, generated tests, suggested fixes, explanations, and other outputs are provided as development assistance.

ShipCheck does not guarantee that it will identify every defect, vulnerability, regression, performance issue, testing gap, accessibility problem, or other software risk.

A successful scan, high score, or absence of findings does not mean that software is secure, error-free, compliant, or suitable for production.

ShipCheck may provide optional features that generate or apply suggested code changes and regression tests.

You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any generated change before applying, merging, deploying, or otherwise relying on it.

You may not use ShipCheck to access systems or information without authorization, violate applicable law, interfere with the service, bypass usage or security controls, distribute malicious code, facilitate unauthorized attacks, or obtain information you are not entitled to access.

You also may not abuse, probe, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt to circumvent reasonable technical restrictions protecting ShipCheck or other users.

You grant ShipCheck the limited rights necessary to access, process, analyze, temporarily transmit, store, and display repository content for the purpose of operating the service and providing features you request.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide that content to ShipCheck.

ShipCheck may retain findings, scan history, behavior descriptions, Behavior Guards, Behavior Contract versions, governance settings, verification plans and evidence, generated tests, decisions, repository metadata, and related information to provide historical and repository-aware functionality.

Stored analysis is intended to help ShipCheck understand how protected repository behavior evolves over time. It should not be treated as a complete or authoritative specification of your software.

ShipCheck may offer free, paid, beta, or promotional plans with different repository, scan, feature, history, and usage limits.

Paid subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled unless otherwise stated during purchase. Prices, features, and plan limits may change, subject to applicable notice or legal requirements.

Beta or promotional limits may differ from permanent plan limits and may be changed or removed as the service develops.

Beta features may contain errors, change materially, have reduced availability, or be discontinued without becoming generally available.

ShipCheck depends on third-party services, which may include GitHub, authentication providers, infrastructure providers, payment processors, analytics or monitoring services, and AI service providers.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies. ShipCheck is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

ShipCheck may be unavailable because of maintenance, infrastructure failures, GitHub outages, third-party failures, security events, rate limits, product changes, or other causes.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as ShipCheck evolves.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShipCheck is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ShipCheck and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or software availability arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

You may stop using ShipCheck at any time. Where supported, you may disconnect repositories, uninstall the GitHub App, or close your account.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, unpaid amounts, violations of these terms, or threats to the service or other users.

We may update these Terms of Service as ShipCheck changes. The updated version will identify a revised effective or last-updated date.

Continued use of ShipCheck after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
